My Favourite kitchen appliance would have to be without a doubt…..THE MICROWAVE. It’s a convenient way to cook food when you haven’t much time to spare. You can cook fresh, frozen or re-heat already cooked meals.  You can also use the microwave to steam cook vegetables, keep something warm on a low temp,defrost foods and you can use it to cook a variety of foods including fish, poultry and meat.

On many microwaves there are different settings and some have foods e.g.. pizza already programmed in ready to select. Some have digital buttons and some have a dial. Inside the microwave is a plate which turns as the microwave is working.  This comes out in order to clean it easily. Keeping the microwave clean is some what kind of a chore in our house, which nobody likes to do! If I had designed a microwave , a self cleaning button would have been top of my list!…If you keep on top of the cleaning its not so bad but if your in a hurry and think ‘aaagghhh I haven’t time for that now, ill do it tomorrow’ and then forget to do it ….this is when ours then tends to build up some what and the cleaning of it is put off for a rainy day!
